Cookies
When you use the Moodle learning platform, cookies (small text files) are stored on your computer. If cookies are not stored, you will not be able to use the learning platform.
Specific data recorded in connection with the Moodle system
Registration - data for operational purposes
When you register or create a user account, your name, e-mail address, company name and company postcode, as well as the customer and contact number are recorded. This data is stored in a database. You can view this data any time after you have logged in. To do this, click on your name (top right of screen). The data you have input can only be viewed by administrators. If you would like to change your data, please contact us by e-mail at elearning@sera.biz.
After your registration, you will be recorded as a user.
If you self-register, after confirmation by sera you will receive an e-mail informing you that your account has been activated. If your account has been created manually, after its creation you will receive an e-mail asking you to change your password.
E-mails and other notifications
Your e-mail address can only be viewed by administrators. You will only receive e-mails from Moodle or members of the sera Customer Care Team concerning your account (e.g. account activation, password change, data adjustment, etc.) and as necessary from administrators of the sera Academy (elearning@sera.biz) concerning important information on the use of the platform (e.g. change or cancellation of a seminar date, update on an eLearning tutorial).
Logging
In addition to the partly mandatory, partly voluntary information requested in the login, the Moodle learning platform logs which parts of the site you access at which time. It also logs whether you have completed assigned tasks, whether any and what posts have been made by you in the forums provided and whether and how you have taken part in workshops or tests. An example of data is provided below: Course – time – IP address used – full username – action (e.g. activity) – information (e.g. description of the activity).
Storage
This user data will remain on the system after you log off. Administrators can access this data. The user data [first name and surname, e-mail address, customer and contact number, activity completion reports (with activity name and time of completion), course completion reports (with course name and time of completion) and activity and course ID] is also exported from Moodle by sera and imported into sera's ERP system. In this way, the user data is assigned to the individual contacts who are allocated to a customer in the system. Only authorised sera employees have access to this information. As the user data is assigned in each case to the contacts, the data can be transferred easily if there is a change in employer.Other users are unable to view your contact data (see Registration).
Deletion
Users can ask for their Moodle account to be deleted by sending an e-mail to elearning@sera.biz. Upon request by the user, the data can also be deleted from sera’s ERP system. To request this, an e-mail with details about the user account needs to be sent to elearning@sera.biz.
Use of data
The data will be used for operational purposes. The data will not be transferred to third parties.
Consent
When you register and use this website, you give your consent to the described collection and use of data in the knowledge of these explanations.
